Kibohê-èthoce Bî (/kiˈbohɘ/ /èˈθoce/ [cute] [disgust]) is a temperate Town located in Lightfield Dutchy, Èjila Provence, within the Dalandic Empire.

The name Kibohê-èthoce Bî is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Kibohê-èthoce Bî was founded by Êtêbrí Trtho, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Kibohê-èthoce Bî has a yearly average temperature of 24°C (75°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 30°C (86°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 18°C (64°F). Kibohê-èthoce Bî receives an average of 262 cm/y (103 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Kibohê-èthoce Bî covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 2240 m (7349 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Kibohê-èthoce Bî was founded durring the late 16th century in fall of the year 1466, by Êtêbrí Trtho. The establishment of Kibohê-èthoce Bî was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Êtêbrí Trtho struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Kibohê-èthoce Bî as a prison colony.

Kibohê-èthoce Bî was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 16th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kibohê-èthoce Bî is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Kibohê-èthoce Bî is buildings are arranged arround a network of premissive baked earthen streets which form a diagonal shaped grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town rests behind a thick wall made from clay bricks. The wall has all of the proper fortifications and is well made. Unfortuantly the nature of clay brick leaves it quite vulnerable to siege equipment, though the thickness of the wall lends it simmilar resistnace to a thinner hardrock wall. The millitarily questionable fortifications have not been wellmaintained over the years, and while functional are in dire need of some loving care and perhapse light renovation.

A look around Kibohê-èthoce Bî is like looking into a university’s plaza on the day before an exam. People rush about to-and-fro. Discarded scrolls and quills are dotted around town. In spite of many locals discussing academic topics, there’s little sign of any organized groups for any of that talk. Infact, the town seems disordered in general with everything scattered helter skelter about.

Civic Infrastructure

Kibohê-èthoce Bî possesses a city-wide Aethary Link which provides Aethary access anywhere within its metropolitan. This allows citizens who can afford the relevant devices access in their places of work, and rarely homes.

Kibohê-èthoce Bî has an animal control department which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the control, impoundment, and disposition of animals.

Kibohê-èthoce Bî has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Kibohê-èthoce Bî.

Kibohê-èthoce Bî has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.

Kibohê-èthoce Bî has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Kibohê-èthoce Bî has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Kibohê-èthoce Bî's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Kibohê-èthoce Bî has an Arcane Academy which provides higher education in the arcane sciences.

Kibohê-èthoce Bî has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Kibohê-èthoce Bî has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

There’s a relatively new religion in Kibohê-èthoce Bî which is rapidly gaining power. It might be a sectarian offshoot of a major faith, the unique product of a new prophet, or an outside faith backed by wealthy and powerful foreign supporters. Depending on the demands made on believers, the new faith may be a matter of concern only to the existing clergy, or it might be a major flashpoint for conflict in the community.

Kibohê-èthoce Bî's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is admittedly strange and non-linear style rooted in defiance of symmetrical shapes. It championed the creation of buildings with a unique visual appearance. the structural norms of classic buildings and deforms or moves away from elementary architectural principles. By including non-linear designs processed into its buildings and favoring fragmentation, this style expressed a form of controlled chaos. Its buildings appear out-of-the-ordinary, draw the eye in immediately and sometimes create a feeling of strangeness. These distorted shapes and structure are not reserved to the building’s outer facade, they destabilize interior elements too, favoring minimalism and play on people’s perceptions by injecting a futuristic touch.

The Lurker in Light near Kibohê-èthoce Bî are known to be quite timid.

Kibohê-èthoce Bî's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in spring and involves sacrificing an animal to channel Truename Magic energies of tier 1 via chanting.

The locals often repair the road by putting down wooden decking.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century an unusualy harsh winter spawned a deadly blizard to Kibohê-èthoce Bî. The ice, snow, and wind killed 163 people, 370 livestock, and destroyed 70. The event is remembered as Horror's Breath.
